How We Work
Our Offerings
Three ancient modalities. One intention — your lasting wellbeing.
Therapy One
Rooted in thousands of years of Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture stimulates specific meridian points to restore the natural flow of Qi. It relieves pain, reduces inflammation, and promotes the body’s own healing response — without medication or side effects.
Therapy Two
Reiki is a Japanese energy healing technique that channels universal life force energy to promote balance at every level — physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. In-person in Mumbai & Thane, and online for students worldwide.
Therapy Three
Our guided meditation programs calm the nervous system, reduce chronic stress, improve sleep, and create mental clarity. We adapt each practice to your unique needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Select a therapy below to read specific FAQs.
Most patients feel little to no pain. The needles are extremely thin — far finer than an injection needle. You may feel a slight tingling, warmth, or mild dull ache — called “De Qi” — which is a sign the therapy is working. Most people find the experience deeply relaxing.
Acute issues (recent injuries, short-term pain) may respond in 3–6 sessions. Chronic conditions (long-standing joint pain, hormonal imbalances) typically require 8–12 sessions for lasting results. After your consultation we will give you a clear, realistic treatment plan.
At Lotus & Freshwing we specialise in:
Yes. We use only single-use, sterile, disposable needles that are discarded after each session. There is zero risk of cross-contamination. Minor bruising or slight soreness may occasionally occur and resolves quickly.
Before: Eat a light meal 1–2 hours prior (avoid coming on an empty stomach). Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Avoid alcohol and heavy exercise. After: Drink plenty of water. Rest if possible. Avoid strenuous activity for a few hours. Some people feel energized; others feel a pleasant tiredness — both are normal.
Yes — acupuncture works excellently alongside conventional medicine and other holistic therapies like Reiki and Meditation. Always inform us of any ongoing medications or treatments so we can tailor your care accordingly.
Reiki (pronounced “ray-key”) is a Japanese energy healing practice meaning “Universal Life Energy.” A trained practitioner channels this energy through gentle hand placements on or just above the body, promoting deep relaxation and the body’s natural ability to heal. It is non-invasive, gentle, and safe for all ages.
Most people experience deep relaxation and peace. Common sensations include warmth or gentle tingling, emotional release, a floating or deeply restful feeling, and reduced mental chatter. Some people fall asleep — which is perfectly fine and a sign your body is deeply restoring itself.
A Reiki session is where you receive healing energy from the practitioner. A Reiki class teaches you how to channel Reiki energy yourself — for self-healing and to heal others. Classes are available at beginner (Level 1), intermediate (Level 2), and Master levels, both online and offline.
No — Reiki works regardless of belief or skepticism. Many of our most satisfied clients came in doubtful and left feeling a real difference. An open mind is helpful, but no specific belief system is required. Reiki is compatible with all faiths and backgrounds.
Absolutely! No prior experience or special ability is needed. Level 1 covers the history of Reiki, basics of energy, self-healing techniques, and how to give Reiki to family and friends. Classes are available in-person at Mumbai & Thane, and online for students anywhere in the world.
Yes — Reiki energy is not limited by physical distance. Distance attunements are fully effective and are widely practiced worldwide by Reiki Masters. Our online classes include live video sessions, personal attunements, study materials, and ongoing support from Anish.
Absolutely — beginners are very welcome! Our sessions are designed to be accessible and gentle. Anish guides each session step-by-step, so you will always know exactly what to do. There is no right or wrong way to experience meditation.
We practise several complementary styles including: mindfulness meditation (breath awareness), body scan and progressive relaxation, guided visualization, mantra-based meditation, and chakra-balancing meditation. Anish will recommend the most suitable style for your goals.
Group sessions typically run 60–90 minutes, including an introduction, guided practice, and a brief sharing time. Individual sessions are 45–60 minutes. Group sessions are held at venues like Dadar’s Vanmali Hall — contact us to stay updated on dates.
Regular practice has been shown to:
Wear loose, comfortable clothing. You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat or meditation cushion. Bring a light shawl or blanket as body temperature can drop during deep relaxation. Arrive 10 minutes early to settle in comfortably.
This is the most common concern — and the good news is that a “busy mind” is the perfect reason to start meditating! You don’t need to stop your thoughts. Meditation teaches you to observe thoughts without being swept away by them. With regular practice your mind naturally becomes calmer and more at peace.
